Our Story

High Caliber Performance is a modern veterinary sports medicine practice that integrates non-traditional with traditional medicine to provide comprehensive care for animal athletes. Our focus remains around injury prevention, performance management, and rehabilitation/fitness for high caliber animal athletes.

Dr. Newsham is certified to perform animal chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association and is a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist. High Caliber Performance was conceived with the mindset of the “whole horse approach” – taking all parts of performance from nutrition, and hoof care, to biomechanics and equipment fit in order to provide gold standard care for animal athletes at the top of their game.

Savannah and Dr. Newsham have over 40 years of personal and professional experience with horses and pets alike. They grew up in a world where horses were maintained with balanced nutrition, minor supplementation, body work, and proper management.

Savannah and Dr. Newsham remain active in the horse show community within their respective disciplines. Dr. Newsham and Savannah have been a dynamic duo for the last 7 years as not only horse lovers, but as best friends. High Caliber Performance was created to change the way animals are cared for from normal aging to performance. As a company, High Caliber Performance sets a goal of opening a rehabilitation facility in the beautiful state of Texas in the future, but will be bringing the best medicine to you in the interim.
